Chandler was founded by A.J. Chandler in the late 1800’s early 1900’s. The second your feet hit the ground, it is almost guaranteed that you will be charmed by the vintage-style lanterns and trellis covered walkways. Visit downtown Chandler and walk the boutique shops, art galleries, and the world-class Chandler Center for the Arts. Here are some of my favorite places to grab a bite to eat.
The Original Chop Shop
Stop in here for a bite to eat, fresh pressed juice, local treats and so much more. I love that Chop Shop sources from local farms and supports local business owners by leveraging their products when possible. If you’re a lover of beets, like me, I highly recommend the beet salad with chicken. But really, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

The Hidden House
A 1939 home that has been fully renovated into a space that is meant to create memories, encourage gathering and provide you with global flavors that are sure to leave an impression. The cocktail menu is organized based on era without sparing creativity. Be sure to make reservations, the seats fill up quickly.

The Brickyard Downtown
Grab good company, grab a table and order a couple menu items to share. The concept here is wrapped in the history that Downtown Chandler holds but the experience of The Brickyard Downtown is unlike anything else. The food is amazing, the cocktails are delicious and the quaint ambiance will have you wishing the night wouldn’t end.

The Ostrich Bar
Are you ready to be transported to the 1900’s? This craft cocktail lounge inhibits the speakeasy days while serving craft cocktails and food from Crust Italian Kitchen. Be on the lookout for the red light and the wooden door to find this gem.
